No. The beginner level includes the board, pieces and legal moves. If your child already knows the rules, the assessment helps identify which ideas to work on next. Try the free piece-movement activities to explore the basics first.
We consider experience, understanding and learning needs alongside the student’s age. A rating can provide context, but it does not decide placement by itself. The free assessment helps us recommend a suitable starting level and discuss cohort availability.
The academy’s coaching approach is guided by USA National Master and FIDE Instructor Dilshad Mohammed. Your assigned instructor is confirmed before you join. Ask the academy about the coach and class format during your assessment.
