1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Signa Chess Academy website (signachess.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services

Signa Chess Academy provides online and in-person chess coaching, diagnostic evaluations, tournament preparation, and related educational services. All coaching is provided by certified instructors under the guidance of USA National Master Dilshad Mohammed.

3. Bookings, Cancellations and Refunds

Bookings. Every paid session is 60 minutes long and is scheduled with the coach directly. Paid sessions are billed per session at the published rate for the level. Signa Chess Academy does not take payment through this website and does not store card details.

Cancellation and rescheduling. Trial bookings and paid sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours notice at no cost. A session missed without that notice may be forfeited. Where the coach is unable to deliver a session, that is treated as a coach cancellation: the session is rescheduled or credited at no cost to you, and 24 hours notice is not required of you.

Make-up sessions. A session cancelled with the required notice converts into one make-up session, which must be taken within 30 days of the original session date. Make-up sessions cannot be exchanged for cash and do not roll forward past that window.

Refunds. Sessions paid for in advance and not yet taken are refundable on a pro-rata basis at the rate paid. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Sessions already delivered are non-refundable. Refund requests should be sent by WhatsApp or email and are confirmed in writing.

No commitment. There is no contract, no minimum enrolment and no automatic renewal. Enrolling commits you to nothing beyond the sessions you have explicitly agreed with the coach.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, chess curricula, interactive tools, and branding — is the property of Signa Chess Academy and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

Signa Chess Academy provides educational services and does not guarantee specific rating improvements, tournament results, or college admissions outcomes. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.

6. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to ensure all information on this website is accurate and up to date, we make no warranties regarding completeness or suitability. Coaching credentials, student achievements, and statistics are based on our records and may be updated periodically.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ajman, UAE.
